Graduate (1994) and Ph.d. (1999) in Physical Education (Bachelor’s degree extraordinary award), and has a degree in Medicine and Surgery (2004) by the University of Valencia. It was fellow FPI during 4 years, doing 6 months (3 + 3) pre-doctoral stays at the University of Waterloo (Canada) and Queensland (Australia).
Later he was an associate professor at the University of Valencia (morphological Sciences and physical education departments). Since 2003 is PDI in the CEU Cardenal Herrera University (currently heads the Department of Medicine). He has directed the master of “Sports Physiotherapy” over 3 years and taught for 12 years teaching post-graduate (master and doctorate).
Dr. Lisón has been reviewer for 6 journals in the JCR: (International Journal of Sport Physiology and Performance; Pediatric Obesity; Journal of Exercise Science & Fitness; BMC Public Health; Brazilian Journal of Physical Therapy; African Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology).
Dr. Lisón has obtained an honourable mention at the San Pablo CEU University Foundation Research Awards for the work entitled “Impact of Biomedical and Biopsychosocial Training Sessions on the attitudes, beliefs and recommendations of health care providers about low back pain: a randomised clinical trial”, published in the journal Pain (Q1, I.F. = 5.78), in which he is a signature.
